Shut up about yahoo buying tumblr.
They bought it because they’re interested in it as it currently exists.
They aren’t going to change things for the sole purpose of fucking with you.
Other yahoo users aren’t going to automatically make a tumblr and come ruin your goddamn clubhouse.
And it’s not a goddamn clubhouse anyway, tumblr has a huge userbase, you are not indie, get over it.
When it comes time for Tumblr to die and all of you to skip to another site - and it will happen, don’t kid yourself - you’ll have some big corporate target to direct your self-righteous dramatics at.
And in the meantime, maybe the Tumblr team will have the cash to implement some popularly demanded features.
All of this. If you’re irrationally worried and want to do something anyway (and that’s cool if you are) just calm down, save anything you can’t bear to lose and make sure you have a way to contact people you couldn’t bear to lose contact with if all else fails - absolutely anyone who has a tumblr is at least going to have an email to bug them at.
And then bam, even if the worst does happen (it won’t, but that’s not what worrying about these things is about) you still have everything.

I’m SO excited to have these done! Tali was so much work - the most work I’ve even put into a costume: handpainting the fabric, learning to use bondo for the helmet, forming the visor, etc. It’s nice to have these pictures of it!

Racism is not in your intent. Your intent is immaterial in how racist your actions are. This isn’t about you BEING a racist. It’s about you DOING A THING that is racist. Your intent doesn’t change it. Your ignorance of its meaning doesn’t change it. It’s got nothing to do with you as a person and everything to do with the meaning of your action in the context of sociocultural history.
